One topic that we hear from our members most often is the concern about not being able to get private practitioners in schools to observe or administer interventions with students. Have you ever wondered why this is the case when other counties generally allow this? So have we!
And so, in order to gain a better understanding of this concern, we are conducting a research study about this topic. We will include four main areas of our study: evidence-based research on what best practices are for students, information about what's done in surrounding counties and if it's working well, feedback from providers who serve students in multiple counties to compare and contrast, and feedback from families.
Feedback from families is where you come in! We have constructed an anonymous survey through which we'd like to hear your experiences and opinions. The survey takes less than 5 minutes and doesn't require you to give any personal information. Would you please consider filling out the survey and passing it along? It would really help us alot as we try to gain an accurate understanding of what students are currently experiencing and how different policies have the potential of impacting them. We will keep this survey open for responses until December 15th, 2023.
